The 290 ft Nirvana is one of a handful of elite world cruising yachts, with its exceptional quality it is considered as one of the most impressive yachts available on the market today.

The spectacular cruiser is 290.35ft in length and is the 39th largest yacht in the world.

She received her second award by the prestigious ShowBoats Design in “Exterior Design and Styling.”

Built to the standards of quality workmanship and technology that Oceanco is renowned for, she spent her 2012 summer season in the Med and made her debut at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show (19-22 September 2012) where she was the largest yacht on display.

Her hull sports a distinctive slightly flared bow and swooping curve. She is bound to be recognizable in any port, in part, due to Sorgiovanni’s signature bright work on the transom and the strip of a varnished mahogany that outlines the cap rail and extends through the length of the boat.

All interior and exterior spaces are designed with utmost luxury in mind. It is also a big yacht capable of crossing the wide oceans of the world. The twin 4000 series MTU main engines can push her along at a maximum speed of 20 knots, while 14 knots is a gentle cruise that gives a range of well over 5,000 nautical miles. With large tanks and plenty of storage capacity, Nirvana has everything needed for lengthy expeditions.

Nirvana’s interior appointments are refined with a sophisticated contemporary feel albeit with a twist as there are Balinese and Indonesian design accents and other surprises.

Close to 200 different types of material have been used to create a jungle ambiance. There are ten different wood veneers and finishes, such as eucalyptus, teak, oak, and palm wood. The bamboo flooring, which can be found throughout the yacht, is finely detailed to resemble ripples of sand, yet the surface sensation underfoot is as smooth as silk.

Nirvana has six decks all connected by the main stairwell and an extraordinary six-person glass elevator, which is entwined in a striking Balinese stainless-steel woven art piece resembling a bubbling whirlpool. This sculptural feature is a focal point from all levels of the yacht.

Sliding glass doors from the aft main deck lead into the convivial main salon, which is replete with textural artistic elements such as a backlit, bamboo-design wall panels, a layered wire Balinese sculpture, an imposing Brazilian fossil, and a metal sculpture inspired by cumulus clouds.

Also on the main deck are the dining area and a cozy separate sitting room, which converts into a massage room.

Acting as a room divider among all three areas are two vivariums; alive and active with reptiles — a chameleon, water dragons, bearded lizards, turtles and exotic frogs.

Additionally on the main deck are the guest accommodations for ten or twelve which include a VIP suite with a lounge that is convertible into a twin cabin plus a commodious his & hers bathroom, as well as four Queen-size VIP cabins.

All ceilings are made from woven Indonesian rattan and bordered by lacquered nickel; all walls and furniture are made from sandblasted oak veneer, the beds and headboards are upholstered in artificial leather and each bedside table is covered with Baramunda, real fish leather; all cabins have ensuite facilities equipped with rain showers and bathtubs.

Natural materials help render a relaxed atmosphere. Each cabin is equipped with Crestron panel from which the guests can access the Internet, call crew for servicing, follow the yacht’s itinerary by GPS, operate the blinds, turn lights on or off and select movies for their flat screen televisions.

On the main aft deck, Nirvana features an immense oval-shaped 7.5m pool with a depth of 1.4m—it is one of the largest pool currently installed on any Oceanco yacht. This fresh–and- seawater pool with height-adjustable floor is the very first one that Oceanco has made out of glass reinforced plastic (GRP). A variable jet stream permits swimmers to swim laps in place.

One deck above the main deck is the Owner’s exclusive domain inclusive of a 150 sqm master suite featuring a vast private exterior terrace with a whirlpool and several sun bathing options and umbrellas. A large skylight in the oak ceiling allows natural light to flood this room; the king-size bed is off center on the portside allowing more privacy and easier circulation within the suite on starboard side.

His-and-Her’s white Iranian onyx facilities include a large shower and bathtub with adjacent dressing rooms decorated in black onyx with Sobrano, an African wood. Aft and amidship of the Owner’s deck is a salon/cinema and a games’ area with astonishing sea views through full height windows and foldable balconies.

The exterior aft deck can accommodate up to 18 guests at an extendable dining table. A varied buffet bar can accommodate multiple hot and cold dishes. The aft deck area can be closed off via windscreens and doors. On each side of the terrace is an elegant spiral staircase that leads to the other decks.

On the bridge deck, one will find a dedicated 85-sqm-gym area with an inset treadmill. Here the ceiling is matt with brushed wenge veneer.

Adjacent to this gym is a traditional sauna where the floor is made out of a special resin finished in a stone motif and shower clad in Chinese black mother of pearl.

Opposite of the helipad is a whirlpool with generous sunbathing cushions all around. Views from the sundeck, which is approximately 12m above waterline, are breathtaking and permit a nearly 360° observation from foredeck to aft.

Two 11m tenders, one 8.5m ski boat, six jet skis and 4 wave runners can be found in the garage where the 12m tender doors can open simultaneously.

Black mother-of pearl, white onyx, and limestone are blended with a host of natural materials and fabrics. This nostalgic classic gesture provides a contrast to the modernity and whimsy one finds in the interior design of the boat.

On the lower deck, a dedicated indoor 3-D cinema equipped with a bar and a popcorn machine. The ceiling is an oak veneer with rattan and woven straw. The walls are a sandblasted wenge veneer and fabric. There are 3,600 movies stored on a Kaleidoscape system that permits easy and fast searching of title and genre.

The 35-sqm pilothouse, forward on the bridge deck, is compact but functional, equipped with the latest electronics and screens; an automatic heating and cleaning window system prevents them from freezing in the winter.
