January 13, 2013. Joaqui’s first time to attend a kiddie birthday party. He didn’t really like Jollibee but he was also not scared of him. 😀
Happy 6th month, baby! :)
Dear Joaqui,
Another month has passed. You are now half a year old. And Mommy is just proud of your everyday achievements. You constantly babble now. In fact, sometimes it’s your babbling that wakes Mommy up in the morning. I really think you will be a very talkative baby. I wonder where you got that from. 😀
You also laugh so much now. One night while Mommy was watching Extra Challenge on TV, your Ate Zenith just kept saying “Bubay”, one of the program’s hosts, and you just kept laughing hysterically. Your Tita Bong even recorded that twice. Unfortunately, the first record was not saved in her mobile for some reason.
You also loved to dance with your Lolo. Every morning, he would sing and dance ala Gangnam style and you would just do the same. Your Lola even said it’s like you have a switch on when to do your moves whenever you hear the Gangnam song.
You have also started to gain more weight now as compared to last month’s. Thank goodness that you’re drinking the formula milk together with Mommy’s breastmilk. Last time we were at the doctor’s clinic, you were already 7.1kg. But I pray that your colds and flu would just go away. It scares me when you cough like an adult. And I feel very helpless at times.
You have already received your Lolo’s early Christmas gift – the nebulizer. He knows we badly need that because you always have colds and your cough just got worse recently. I really pray that after all these antibiotics you’re taking, you’ll be back to your normal, happy, playful you.
I am now watching you sleep while I write this. I have been watching you sleep ever since and it reminds me of the other person responsible for you. You both sleep the same way. You even babble when you’re asleep. I think you got that from him aside from your brown hair, your fair complexion and your big hands and feet as well as your long fingers and toes.
I’m constantly praying that one day, I’ll be able to explain to you our situation in a way that you would understand. I don’t know how but perhaps one day, everything will just fall into place.
Always remember that Mommy loves you very much and no matter what happens, I will always be here for you. 🙂

You grow up so fast right before my very eyes and I am just grateful that I can witness every milestone you make while still being able to work from home. We are really blessed.
I will continue taking photos of you, recording your milestones and blogging about it because this is what makes me happy now. I am happy and proud to have a wonderful child like yourself and I promise to be the best mom in this world. It may just be the two of us but I hope that this won’t pose a problem while you grow up. Afterall, your lolo, lola and all your titas and cousins love you as much as I do and they will always be there for you as well.

I love you and I will keep telling you that even when you already have your kids of your own. I will never get tired of saying that because I mean it. You are the greatest gift Mommy has ever received.

Happy birthday, Papa!
It’s Papa’s birthday today and he has turned 58. I called the house during my lunch break (around 5pm Manila time) and he was the one who answered the phone. I asked what their plans are and he said he and mama have been very busy all day cooking for his birthday celeb. Some of their friends from their Marriage Encounter group will be coming over later.
I asked what they’re having and he said just a couple of dishes like inihaw na liempo, inihaw na bangus, tilapia and pancit canton which they prepared.
Awww…how I wish I were home!

I just turned a year older, yikes! =D And as much as I wanted to make this day just an ordinary day, my dear friends still made the day special with all their birthday greetings. Thanks guys! =)
I left my cellphone in the flat the whole day, like I always do and when I got home, I already had 7 missed calls from three different people and 2 unread text messages. But nothing beats these messages…

Impressive (I think you know why), unexpected text message plus the first to greet me yesterday. Well, technically it would have been my bestfriend, Jen, since she told me she texted me the night before my birthday. Unfortunately I didn’t receive it.
