The Majesty 155 is a milestone in Gulf Craft’s nearly 32-year history.
The Majesty 155 is the largest superyacht to be constructed by Gulf Craft and is expected to be completed in 2015.
“The engineering skill set that develops as a result of this project will benefit all our other projects going forward and trickle down into everything comes out of the Gulf Craft shipyard,” Said Gulf Craft’s Chief Operating Officer Erwin Bamps.
Gulf Craft’s latest and largest yacht project’s main focus is on space utilization.
The 47 metre yacht showcases the “living in water”concept and incorporates design elements that mimic a luxury apartment on the water.
The aft decks are designed for outdoor living with an aft beach club for relaxing after water sports.
The oversized windows of the Majesty 155 bathe the interior in natural light, delivering panoramic views over the water.
The design concept has been praised for its clever utilization of both indoor and outdoor space that creates barrier-free living and a better flow between decks.
This concept was originally utilized in Gulf Craft’s Majesty 105 which recently premiered in Europe at the Cannes.
With its innovative features, such as the direct access to the fly bridge, Gulf Craft’s entry level superyacht has been in demand with several Majesty 105s already delivered to date and others in production.
The Majesty 105 favors a form that follows functionality –The raised pilothouse superyacht has a commanding exterior design with a naturally flowing fly-bridge that is directly connected to the front bow area.
The Majesty 105 features 5 staterooms, including a luxurious owner’s stateroom, 2 crew cabins and one captain’s cabin and 8 bathrooms.
The Majesty 105 runs on twin Caterpillar 1,925 hp C32 rated engines reaching a top speed of 23 knots. With a wide open-edged sun deck equipped with an interactive lounging area and soft sofa seating, a wet bar, fridge, icemaker and barbeque and outdoor steering helm, the Majesty 105 is made for outdoor entertaining.
The interiors echo the generous outdoor space with a wide main saloon.
The owner’s suite on the main deck features a private office and lobby area, full beam cabin, spacious bathroom including a large bathtub, central shower area, separate washroom and wide oval windows that enhance the natural brightness of the cabin.
The Majesty 105 also features very spacious crew quarters for a superyacht of its size and has ample cold and dry storage.
The main living areas are designed to offer both practical and aesthetic benefits in terms of plenty of concealed storage embedded in the interior layout.
“The use of space that has made many comment that this 30m yacht appears as big as a 40m yacht in terms of space utilization. Gulf Craft has been putting a lot of effort into re-engineering its designs to make them work extremely well and this is where we differentiate ourselves,” stated Bamps.

Heesen Yachts is set to showcase the 65 meter luxury yacht in Monaco this month.
At this year’s Monaco Yacht show, which takes place from the September 25-28, Heesen will be showcasing the Galactica Star, a revolutionary 65 meter luxury yacht.
The Galactica Star is the first ever yacht to use the revolutionary Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) which is 30 percent more efficient compared to a traditional displacement hull.
The all-aluminum FDHF motor yacht exceeded the top speed demanded contractually by a full two knots during her sea trials in the North Sea.
The prestigious luxury yacht also moved very smoothly through the water during its sea trials and proved to be extremely maneuverable.
Heesen Yachts is the first shipyard to build a yacht which features this innovative hull configuration and uses aluminum for both hull and superstructure. Here in the UAE, Heesen Yachts are sold by Al-Futtaim Marine.
This FDHF is a platform for creating a new generation of luxury yachts in which increased performance and reduced environmental impact begin with the hull design.
When at high speeds, in comparison with traditional semi-displacement hulls, the Galactica Star has a low wave profile over the entire speed range which demonstrates that her motion through the water creates low resistance.
The superyacht is designed to reach top speed of 27 knots, a 20 knots cruising speed and a 4.200 nautical mile range which provides top performance for length, combined with Dutch custom-built luxury.
She exceeded the top speed demanded by contract (27 knots) and reached a remarkable average top speed (at half load) of 28.8 knots.
The FDHF was jointly developed with Van Oossanen Naval Architects and Heesen’s expertise in weight reduction.
When combined with a pair of MTU 20V4000M93L engines (each developing 4.300kW at 2.100 rpm) Galactica Star will be able reach top speeds at a very economical fuel burn levels and its particularly long range of 4.200Nm at 14 knots.
A 30 percent increase in hull efficiency means 20 percent less power is required throughout the speed spectrum – and less power used means less fuel used.
This provides a positive impact on the cost of running the yacht, as well as lowering the environmental footprint due to reduced engine emissions.
Guests’ comfort while on board is further guaranteed by a total of five Sea Keeper gyro stabilizers.
Outdoor space includes a 20 meter sundeck, and a duplex beach club that occupies 25 per cent of the main and lower decks.
Situated on the lower deck of the duplex beach club are a sauna, hammam, shower room and day head as well as a fully equipped bar.
The supeyacht boasts a 10 square meter side balcony located on the port side, and a 22 square mete swimming platform.
A large sunbathing area on the foredeck can be transformed into a touch and go helipad.
Up to 12 guests sleep in custom-built interiors that include a full-beam master suite with private balcony, and a VIP on the upper deck.
She is also capable of carrying up to 13 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Another interesting feature to note is the glass bottom of the swimming pool located on the main deck.
The pool allows the natural light to glimmer through the water to the bar area beneath.
The tender garages, with gull-wing doors, can also be found beneath the foredeck.
Award-winning designers have been appointed by the owners for this project.
Frank Laupman at Omega Architects is responsible for the streamlined exterior lines.
The design clearly shows the Heesen bloodline, but fused with the appearance of a racing car.
Bannenberg and Rowell Design have created the sophisticated interior that complements the sleek exterior design.

The 290 ft Nirvana is one of a handful of elite world cruising yachts, with its exceptional quality it is considered as one of the most impressive yachts available on the market today.
The spectacular cruiser is 290.35ft in length and is the 39th largest yacht in the world.
She received her second award by the prestigious ShowBoats Design in “Exterior Design and Styling.”
Built to the standards of quality workmanship and technology that Oceanco is renowned for, she spent her 2012 summer season in the Med and made her debut at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show (19-22 September 2012) where she was the largest yacht on display.
Her hull sports a distinctive slightly flared bow and swooping curve. She is bound to be recognizable in any port, in part, due to Sorgiovanni’s signature bright work on the transom and the strip of a varnished mahogany that outlines the cap rail and extends through the length of the boat.
All interior and exterior spaces are designed with utmost luxury in mind. It is also a big yacht capable of crossing the wide oceans of the world. The twin 4000 series MTU main engines can push her along at a maximum speed of 20 knots, while 14 knots is a gentle cruise that gives a range of well over 5,000 nautical miles. With large tanks and plenty of storage capacity, Nirvana has everything needed for lengthy expeditions.
Nirvana’s interior appointments are refined with a sophisticated contemporary feel albeit with a twist as there are Balinese and Indonesian design accents and other surprises.
Close to 200 different types of material have been used to create a jungle ambiance. There are ten different wood veneers and finishes, such as eucalyptus, teak, oak, and palm wood. The bamboo flooring, which can be found throughout the yacht, is finely detailed to resemble ripples of sand, yet the surface sensation underfoot is as smooth as silk.
Nirvana has six decks all connected by the main stairwell and an extraordinary six-person glass elevator, which is entwined in a striking Balinese stainless-steel woven art piece resembling a bubbling whirlpool. This sculptural feature is a focal point from all levels of the yacht.
Sliding glass doors from the aft main deck lead into the convivial main salon, which is replete with textural artistic elements such as a backlit, bamboo-design wall panels, a layered wire Balinese sculpture, an imposing Brazilian fossil, and a metal sculpture inspired by cumulus clouds.
Also on the main deck are the dining area and a cozy separate sitting room, which converts into a massage room.
Acting as a room divider among all three areas are two vivariums; alive and active with reptiles — a chameleon, water dragons, bearded lizards, turtles and exotic frogs.
Additionally on the main deck are the guest accommodations for ten or twelve which include a VIP suite with a lounge that is convertible into a twin cabin plus a commodious his & hers bathroom, as well as four Queen-size VIP cabins.
All ceilings are made from woven Indonesian rattan and bordered by lacquered nickel; all walls and furniture are made from sandblasted oak veneer, the beds and headboards are upholstered in artificial leather and each bedside table is covered with Baramunda, real fish leather; all cabins have ensuite facilities equipped with rain showers and bathtubs.
Natural materials help render a relaxed atmosphere. Each cabin is equipped with Crestron panel from which the guests can access the Internet, call crew for servicing, follow the yacht’s itinerary by GPS, operate the blinds, turn lights on or off and select movies for their flat screen televisions.
On the main aft deck, Nirvana features an immense oval-shaped 7.5m pool with a depth of 1.4m—it is one of the largest pool currently installed on any Oceanco yacht. This fresh–and- seawater pool with height-adjustable floor is the very first one that Oceanco has made out of glass reinforced plastic (GRP). A variable jet stream permits swimmers to swim laps in place.
One deck above the main deck is the Owner’s exclusive domain inclusive of a 150 sqm master suite featuring a vast private exterior terrace with a whirlpool and several sun bathing options and umbrellas. A large skylight in the oak ceiling allows natural light to flood this room; the king-size bed is off center on the portside allowing more privacy and easier circulation within the suite on starboard side.
His-and-Her’s white Iranian onyx facilities include a large shower and bathtub with adjacent dressing rooms decorated in black onyx with Sobrano, an African wood. Aft and amidship of the Owner’s deck is a salon/cinema and a games’ area with astonishing sea views through full height windows and foldable balconies.
The exterior aft deck can accommodate up to 18 guests at an extendable dining table. A varied buffet bar can accommodate multiple hot and cold dishes. The aft deck area can be closed off via windscreens and doors. On each side of the terrace is an elegant spiral staircase that leads to the other decks.
On the bridge deck, one will find a dedicated 85-sqm-gym area with an inset treadmill. Here the ceiling is matt with brushed wenge veneer.
Adjacent to this gym is a traditional sauna where the floor is made out of a special resin finished in a stone motif and shower clad in Chinese black mother of pearl.
Opposite of the helipad is a whirlpool with generous sunbathing cushions all around. Views from the sundeck, which is approximately 12m above waterline, are breathtaking and permit a nearly 360° observation from foredeck to aft.
Two 11m tenders, one 8.5m ski boat, six jet skis and 4 wave runners can be found in the garage where the 12m tender doors can open simultaneously.
Black mother-of pearl, white onyx, and limestone are blended with a host of natural materials and fabrics. This nostalgic classic gesture provides a contrast to the modernity and whimsy one finds in the interior design of the boat.
On the lower deck, a dedicated indoor 3-D cinema equipped with a bar and a popcorn machine. The ceiling is an oak veneer with rattan and woven straw. The walls are a sandblasted wenge veneer and fabric. There are 3,600 movies stored on a Kaleidoscape system that permits easy and fast searching of title and genre.
The 35-sqm pilothouse, forward on the bridge deck, is compact but functional, equipped with the latest electronics and screens; an automatic heating and cleaning window system prevents them from freezing in the winter.
